Well, howdy again! Nemo here!

Events in my life recently reminded me that it's important not to forget our blessings in life. So, in honor of the holiday, I think I'll bore you all with some of the things in my life that I'm thankful for having and happening!

My Job at Viz (The Halloween, Thanksgiving and Deckbuilding Yu-Gi-Oh! features released in the last three issues of Shonen Jump are all me!)
Several successful tests
My friends (natch!)
Finishing a large writing project
Recovering my passion for reading (because nothing kills it like knowing you've got to have read 80 pages fifteen minutes ago)

At the moment, though, it's that I had a HUGE computer burnout with my motherboard, but nothing important was lost. I still have yet to get it at the shop, but I'd rather pay the price to get the damn thing fixed than deal with a wiped hard drive. Note to self: Backup more often!

What that DOES mean is that the Spytanics I was working on, as well as the SM33T pic, will have to be postponed. Sorry!

In case anyone cares, and you might not...

Last semester, as whoever read our journal then then will know that I was recently chosen as an intern at Viz, and that my time there ended along with the semester.

Recently, however, I was contacted by my old boss asking me to write freelance!

Can you believe it? ...probably not.

Well, I did write the article. And against all odds, it was accepted. I'm not sure which details are confidential; however, I somehow doubt that there'll be any problems with telling you that I've written AN article, LOL.

Oh, and on a side note, this is probably known to all FF9 fans out there, but there's this amazing vocalist who did some VERY lovely vocal versions of a couple FF9 songs. My favorite is You're Not Alone. I've become an overnight fan of the music, so I'm now curious about the actual gameplay - maybe I'll even scrounge up the cash to buy an copy of FF9 from the scalpers on eBay. (I'd only read the Wikipedia page before. )

Mwhahaha! I am back! From hell! And I’ve got a new comic!

I apologize to Bats and everyone else who follows this story for the long delay. College has been HELL. I won’t get into the details, but it has been. So now I’m finally getting around to updating Spytanic (tomorrow night - lineart isn't quite done yet @_@). YOMA will be up soon too, for anyone who cares.

To everyone who has been following my stories and wondering why the **** I’m not updating (especially you, Bats), I’m sorry. I appreciate all your support, but college has been hell. As the semester ends, I think I’ll need all the support I can get, and of course I can’t ask for that for nothing. Comics and stuff will help distract me from my problems…

In the meantime, I also have a pic of Lady Gray - kind of my way of getting back into the swing.

Well I said I'd update after Saturday. And I did. Because Tuesday the 11th IS after January 30th, LOL.

Um... so yeah. It's all awesome. I'm helping with the SJ content, and while I can't talk about the specifics for company security, I will say that I'm helping compile information for the Naruto Collector, including searching for pics and deciding on how to phrase certain "Ninja-Training" exercises. So... check it out in the summer if you wanna make me really happy! The earliest Shonen Jump issues that I helped contribute towards will be released in April, so check those out too. (You didn't hear this from me, but your local libraries will have them available in all liklihood - I know mine does!) I'm also helping look over proofs of soon-to-be-published material to see if I can find any errors, which is awesome since it gives me a sneak-peek! Huzzah!

...I've got nothing else to report, save for that this is the final push towards finishing the site (which is the ONLY thing left to do and I'm REALLY procrastinating U_U).

I had a strange thing happen to me the other day in Creative Writing Class. We were presenting our writing for the class to hear and this girl was called up. The professor called her specifically and made her come up in front of the class - she was REALLY shy and didn't want to read. So she apologized in case the stuff wasn't any good. (This is pretty standard fare for most people.) So, she begins to read and OMG it is REALLY good! I mean, SRSLY, it's some of the best amateur writing I've ever heard. And everyone's just sitting there with their mouths hanging open. And I'm thinking

"Hello and welcome to class Mary Sue."

Just another instance in life that actually happens but I'd NEVER get away with in writing should an important character do that. Or if I did, it'd have to be waaaay different.

...well, maybe the fact that I haven't been instantly sued by LittleKuriboh for using his catchphrase is awesome on and of itself. BUT that aside, I just landed myself my first college internship evar! And this ain't no ordinary college internship, this is...

AN INTERNSHIP AT VIZ MEDIA HQ!!! XDDD HUZZAH!

In its scenic local in San Francisco, Viz offers college internships to all the Bay Area Universities. So when I saw them online, I sent in an application, being in need of a job during the school year. I was already resolved that I would be spending my evenings washing dishes at the cafeteria, BUT I received an email response! They wanted an interview! I never thought I'd get that far - just getting an invite to their HQ (located in a former movie theater) was badass enough. I got interviewed and was prepared to chalk it up as one of those really exciting nibbles, maybe to try again in the fall. BUT n00t SO! I got accepted, and I start work next Friday! So... if anyone cares, I got a job that I suspect a sizable number of otaku would kill for.

...you know what? I'm happy.
